It is a large soft ball diameter approximately 25 cm. This ball has many features all over the ball encouraging the child to turn and look at all angles of the ball. There is a crinkly arm with a magnetic hand which snaps onto a magnetic ladybird. It has two teethers including one with moving parts. It also has a crinkly flower and butterfly. There is also a see-through rattle with brightly coloured beads inside. The legs have rattles in their feet. And wiggly worm can be pulled out of the ball and then returns shaking and making a noise back into the ball. All the features are securely attached. The ball also makes one of five single sounds when tapped. The sounds are surprisingly pleasant! All sounds are quiet and therefore difficult to hear in a noisy classroom however in a quiet space it is a good toy for listening skills. Also each of the sounds is very short again good listening skills. It is extremely appealing and robust. It can be thrown or kicked and I have found great to encourage children to move about and to collect the ball. This is an extremely tactile toy which provides many different activities including listening, fine and gross motor skills. We have had a lot of fun with this ball. The ball comes with batteries and clear instructions. Replacement batteries are three 1.5v |
