One side of the board has beautiful sphere shaped pegs and the other side the pegs are a cubes, cylinders, prisms and 3-D hexagons. The pegs are coloured green, red, yellow and blue. The pegs are a lovely size easy for little fingers or fingers with poor coordination. The route cards are very clear and fairly robust they are double sided so that you get 12 routes. I think it would be very easy to make some additional route cards, in fact you could possibly produce a blank card and then get a child to make their own card for friends to do. The photograph of this product shows the wooden board standing vertically on the floor or tabletop, however due to the fact that there are feet on all four corners I feel this toy works better lying flat. This product can be used at various levels; coordination by moving the pegs around the route, colour and shape recognition and the route cards adds a great deal of value to the toy. It is surprisingly difficult to get the pegs in the right places. It is a good toy the teaching sequencing skills. I like this toy a lot, it has masses of play value and once a child has been shown how to use the route cards they can play independently for a surprisingly long time.
