This is a wooden house with a soft foam roof. There are six different wooden shapes to sort each one a different colour, they are of a good size at least 4cm so easy to hold. The sorting shapes are fun rather than mathematical. The posting holes are in the roof or back wall and the door is how you get the shapes out. The roof also has a carry handle. To start with the children posted the shapes through the door but once shown the posting holes they soon got the hang of it. What they really liked was that you can see inside the house so you can watch the shape fall in, unlike other sorting boxes where the shape disappears. They loved to carry the house round with them. It is a very attractive tactile toy. |
