This is something I have to deal with every time i take my daughter out to a park or play area. I am never sure if I should say she has higher functioning autism or not. On occasions i have said, because her behaviour has actually caused some upset. It really is a tough call though and it never gets easier. You just have to go on the situation at the time and if you can see the other parents looking concerned or unsure then maybe it’s best to explain.
