Soft (magenta or red) - recommended for Mild chewers
XT (lime green or teal or black) - XT stands for "Xtra Tough," recommended for Moderate chewers
XXT (blue or purple) - XXT stands for "Xtra Xtra Tough," recommended for more Aggressive chewers
HOW TO CHOOSE RESISTANCE:
We always recommend starting with the standard level, unless the person chews through / causes damage to things they currently chew on (chews holes in shirts, chews through pencils, etc.). In that case the tougher XT (“Extra Tough”) option will likely hold up to that better.
XXT (“Extra Extra Tough”) is usually the longest lasting level for avid chewing. However, XXT is fairly rigid, so we only recommend starting off with XXT if you know you / your child chews likes chewing on pretty tough items, or can chew through pretty tough items (like legos, hard plastic toys, wood, etc.).
Designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA by ARK Therapeutic, these pendants are constructed out of medical grade, FDA compliant materials that contain NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex.
**Caution: This product is not a toy. The clasp and cord are not intended for chewing. Contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard. Not recommended for children under 5 years. Although these chew tools are made out of sturdy, medical grade materials, they are not indestructible. Some individuals (particularly those with heavy oral needs and aggressive biting/chewing) may be able to damage the tools. How long they last may depend on the oral sensory needs of the child as well as other variables (anxiety, stress, etc.). Please supervise at all times and replace if necessary when the item shows signs of wear and tear.
